Vero Telecom has released a major Beta Firmware update (v0.9.5-5) for the VR-N76, featuring an overhauled scan management sub-menu, master password protection, PTT DTMF signaling, and enhanced zone/channel data synchronization.

New Features & Optimizations

• Dedicated Scan Sub-Menu: Added a scan management sub-menu under the main menu to centralize all scan parameters, including Scan Resume and Background Scan Zone configuration.
• Scan Zone in Radio Settings: Integrated a quick Scan Zone selection option directly inside Radio Settings.
• 8.33kHz Frequency Step: Frequency scanning now supports an 8.33kHz step size.
• Master Password Security: Set a master password to lock channel data and restrict the radio to Low Power transmission.
• PTT DTMF Transmission: Added support for transmitting DTMF signaling when the PTT button is pressed.
• Keypad Lock Options: Configure keypad lock behavior under General Settings, including prohibiting volume adjustment during lock and auto-lock timeout.
• Zone Editing & Data Clear: Supports editing Zone Names directly and clearing channel/zone data on the device.
• Comprehensive Data Sync: Syncs Zone Names, Channel Lock status, and Master Password settings when synchronizing channel data with the app.
• Simultaneous Display Option: Display Settings now includes an option to show Channel Name and Frequency concurrently on the screen.

Bug Fixes & Stability

• Smartphone Time Sync: Fixed an issue where time synchronization from the smartphone to the radio failed to operate.
